Gettysburg Halloween Parade will take place on Tuesday, October 19


Community organization Businesswomen Influencing Gettysburg (BIG) recently shared details about this year’s Gettysburg Halloween Parade. The parade will take place on Tuesday October 19 with a rain date on Wednesday October 20.

Parade registration is now open at or events. Entries must be sent before October 10. There will be cash prizes in a number of categories including, but not limited to: marching bands, floats, marching / marching groups, dance / show groups, individual costumes and vintage cars.

Parade programming will begin at 5 p.m. at the Gettysburg Area Middle School. The parade will leave the school around 7:15 pm In addition to the parade, there will be a dance party in the square starting at 6:00 pm. For further updates, stay tuned to the Gettysburg Halloween Parade Facebook page.

Bagged dinners provided by Biggerstaff’s Catering will also be available to parade attendees this year. If you would like to order a dinner that will be delivered to the staging area at 5:30 p.m. on the night of the event, please call Biggerstaff’s Catering at (717) 334-3855 for a menu and to place your order.

Additionally, local food trucks are invited to apply to become a vendor at this year’s parade. More information can be found on Facebook. The seats are limited. Sellers who complete an interest form will receive a confirmation by September 20 of their acceptance to the event.
