Harry Clarke found the back of the net Sunday afternoon, his first professional goal, in Ross County’s 4-2 loss to the Rangers. The Arsenal defender on loan took advantage of the Rangers’ defense to finish. Ross County fans applauded Arsenal defenseman Clarke, on Twitter.
Clarke, 20, joins Ross County after becoming a regular with Arsenal’s Under-23 team, then loaning 35 outings for Oldham last season. It was the England Under-17 international’s second professional goal, after scoring once for Oldham. The Rangers, however, took the win 4-2.
What are Ross County fans saying about Arsenal defenseman Clarke?
The Rangers failed to defend a cross into the box from the left flank and after Allan McGregor parried a shot – Clarke was there to finish off the corner well. The center-back is hoping to build on his goal, in what was his first start for the club. He came into play against Hibernian.
Ross County fans took to Twitter to applaud the defenseman, though he couldn’t do much with the Rangers scoring four goals. Alfredo Morelos, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and Connor Goldson have all found the back of the net. Ross County fans applauded Arsenal star Clarke for his goal and performance.
