Bombay: Continuing crackdown on drug trafficking in Mumbai, Mumbai police seized drugs worth Rs 15 crore. According to testimonies, the contraband seized by the cops is heroin. Police also arrested two people. The crackdown was carried out by the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Unit.

The contraband was seized days after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested eight people in an alleged rave party off the coast of Mumbai. During the raid, detectives seized charas, mephedrone, MDMA and cocaine from the cruise.

NCB continues to crack down on cruise party

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal and Gomit Chopra were among the eight people who were first detained and then arrested by the BCN.

Following the arrest of the eight accused, the BCN conducted another raid on the same cruise and detained eight other people in connection with the case.

On October 5, BCN arrested four people – Abdul Qayyum Sheikh, Shreyas Surendra Nair, Manish Udayaraj Darya, Avin Dinanath Sahu – in the same case. Recording a case against the four defendants under section 8 (c) 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 (NDPS), officials took the accused away for a medical examination.
