Two internet meme sensations from years past were in attendance at a Blackburn music festival this weekend.
Danny Andrews, better known as Fish and a Rice Cake Guy, and Shaun Jackson, Gurning Rave Guy, were at the Restricted Forest Festival at Witton Country Park, Blackburn.
Andrews rose to fame in the 2007 BBC Three documentary Babyfaced Bodybuilders after sharing his strict diet – fish and rice cakes – before the Mr Cumbria bodybuilder contest.
He told the presenter, “At eight in the morning I’ll have fish and a rice cake”, before repeating the diet of fish, or fish and a rice cake, over and over again throughout the day which was then cut and sent viral.
Jackson was smiling more than ever in Restricted Forest, after rising to fame with a nightclub promotional clip for the ‘Bounce by the Ounce’ party in Preston, showing him looking a bit worse at a rave in the past .
Oddly, the couple were both at the Blackburn Festival and posed together for pictures.
Fish and a Rice Cake Guy recently oversaw an incredible body transformation, which he showed off in the topless photos, though Jackson has changed little since his stardom streak several years ago.
How the pair rose to fame:
Jackson was also captured doing his signature freaky dance by a festival goer, appearing shirtless while raving at the festival.
Hundreds of ravers descended on Witton Park in Blackburn on Saturday for the event, which was billed as the “biggest yet” and featured headlining performances from Snap, Basshunter, Sash, Dave Pearce.
While the majority of attendees spent the day and night enjoying the sunshine and blaring dance music, the event was marred slightly by a messy incident which led to the call of the police.
