“Cordelia Cray’Ark’s cruise master and event organizer had not obtained clearance from DG Shipping, Maharashtra Maritime Board and Mumbai Yellow Gate PS Police,” he said.

Invitations to the party were sent to prominent personalities in September, after which information was sought via an RTI request as to whether the Fashion TV party had been granted clearance for October 2-3. To which RTI’s response said on September 24 that no such authorization has been given by Mumbai Port Trust.

RTI’s response further showed that tickets priced between 80,000 and 350,000 lakh and booked online for entertainment tax payable at the Mumbai collector’s office had never been issued, which resulted in resulted in a loss of revenue for the public treasury.

RTI’s response added that the cruise also ignored the inclement weather warning issued due to Cyclones Gulab and Shaheen which prohibited travel in deep seas. This was ignored by the captain and management of the Cordelia cruise, endangering the safety of all passengers and crew on board.

NCB Mumbai arrested Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchant, Monarch (Munmun) Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhokar, Mohak Jaswal, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Gomit Chopra and Nupur Satija. The BCN seized narcotics during the cruise and an investigation is underway.
