KATHUA, Oct 16: Apni Party Vice-Chairman Zaffar Iqbal Manhas said on Sunday that hero worship by traditional political leaders and misuse of voting power had caused massive damage to the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir over the past more than seventy years.
He was speaking at the Apni party public rally at Lohi Mallar area in Bani Billawar Jammu. Provincial Party Chairman (Jammu) Manjit Singh, State Party ST Wing Chairman Saleem Choudhary, Party Youth Wing State Vice Chairman Raqeeq Khan, Provincial Wing Chairman Vipul Bali youth and other senior leaders also addressed the gathering. According to a press release posted here, Zaffar Iqbal Man expressed concern over the lack of development and rising poverty as well as unemployment at J&K. He blamed conventional political parties and their leaders, who have led J&K over the years and decades, for the lack of development here.
“We have not been left behind for lack of funds; we are facing this pathetic situation because our rulers over the years have plundered and plundered the wealth that was meant for development here. The saddest thing is that people have been worshiping the same politicians for all these years. They made them choose to rule,” he said.
“We have abused the power of the vote in favor of these traditional political leaders, who have created empires for themselves and left ordinary people to suffer from lack of development, poverty and unemployment,” he added and said. urged people not to fall prey to these more traditional political parties and their leaders.
Manhas assured that the Apni party and its leadership would never compromise with the interests of the people. “Apni Party does not believe in emotional slogans and false promises. We do not promise the moon and stars to our people. We only promise what we think is achievable. The key agenda of the Apni party is to work for peace, prosperity and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
