Bollywood actor Ananya Panday is due to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau for the third time on October 25. On Friday, the actress was grilled by the anti-drug agency for about four hours in connection with the drug case on the Mumbai cruise ship. While her father, actor Chunky Panday, was waiting for her, Ananya was reportedly interviewed by NCB zone chief Sameer Wankhede. She arrived at the BCN office at around 2.45 p.m. and left around 6.30 p.m. accompanied by her father. This was the second time that Ananya had been questioned by the BCN. On the first day, Ananya left for the NCB office for the first interrogation after a team raided her home in Mumbai and also seized her laptop and mobile phone while investigating the case. The actress’s name is said to have appeared in WhatsApp chats found on Aryan Khan‘s phone. Sources have revealed that the actress is cooperating with the NCB. The source said: “She is cooperating with the agency and answering all questions asked by the BCN.” The media further quoted NCB sources and revealed that the actress was allegedly questioned about discussions which appeared to indicate that she had helped Aryan obtain weed. “Conversations retrieved from Aryan Khan’s cell phone reveal that during the year 2018-19, she helped supply Aryan with drugs on three occasions by providing him with the number of drug dealers,” said NCB sources told a news agency. “Ananya denied the talks related to the supply during the chat conversation and told NCB officials that she had never consumed or supplied the drugs,” the sources added. Meanwhile, returning to Aryan Khan, the star child who is currently housed at Arthur Road Prison, on October 20, the Bombay HC moved after a special court dismissed his request for bail while noting that he was engaged in ‘illicit drug activities on a regular basis’. The HC will now hear his request for bail on October 26.
