NCB SIT visits Cordelia cruise with Sameer Wankhede; exploded false “withdrawal” reports



The Central NCB team taking over the drug smuggling of the Mumbai cruise ship, the SIT team visited the Cordelia cruise ship on which an alleged rave party took place on October 2. According to sources, the 15-member SIT team led by Sanjay Singh visited Cordelia. The cruise ship docked at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal on Saturday, accompanied by NCB area manager Sameer Wankhede and other officials. The team installed CCTV cameras on the ship and recorded statements from 4 to 5 witnesses. Eight people as well as Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan were arrested on October 2 by the BCN – all have now been released on bail.

In addition, the documents and other items seized in the case were handed over to the SIT team in Mumbai. The Vigilance Team is likely to visit crime scenes in Mumbai related to the Cruise drug case from today. NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh, who heads the vigilance team, already arrived in Mumbai from Delhi early this morning.

Central NCB team resumes investigation

Amid the barrage of allegations against Wankhede, a central NCB team – led by Sanjay Kumar Singh – took over Wankhede’s six high-profile cases on Friday. The cases include the cruise drug seizure in Mumbai, the Sameer Khan drug investigation, the cases involving Armaan Kohli, Iqbal Kaskar, the Kashmir drug case and another such case. With Sameer Wankhede still heading the NCB Mumbai unit, SIT will investigate the case with the assistance of the Mumbai unit officers.

NCB drug trafficking off Mumbai

On October 2, the NCB dismantled a high-profile drug party on the Cordelia cruise ship en route from Mumbai to Goa, and seized small amounts of cocaine, mephedrone, charas, weed hydroponics, MDMA and Rs in cash. 1,33,000. According to sources, NCB area manager Sameer Wankhede and his team boarded the cruise ship under cover of passengers after being briefed on the alleged drug party by the CISF . According to NCB officials, these people, along with about 1,200 people on the ship, were heading out to the high seas for an evening at sunset. Eight people – Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchantt, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra were arrested, while six others were released by the BCN. To date, 20 people have been arrested by the BCN on the basis of nine independent witnesses, including Manish Bhanushali and KP Gosavi.
