As anyone who suffers from prickly heat knows, it can be an absolute nightmare to get rid of.
But one woman claims to have found a beneficial way to relieve prickly heat irritation.
Kelly Sommers took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her find – a £1.49 bottle of Bug Cooling Pump Spray.
“Found this absolute bargain in Home Bargains today. £1.49,” she wrote.
“I suffer from prickly heat. I sprayed it on my chest today and it got cold right away and it stayed cool for ages.
“It was also cool to the touch.”
In conclusion, she wrote, “I’m definitely going to have a few more bottles for my vacation.”
In the comments section, many people were also quick to rave about the product.
“Works wonderfully,” wrote one.
“This is fabulous!!!! I still have prickly fucking heat, only on my legs but anytime I get it,” another person added.
“Oooooh thank you for this tip!” someone else said.
“My daughter started out with a prickly heat on her arms and I’m kinda for when we get stung so I’m going to give it a try!”
Others took the opportunity to share their own prickly heat remedies – many citing certain types of sunscreen that had helped.
“I suffer from prickly heat and used to use P20 but now use Malibu once a day, factor 50, it’s quarter the price, won’t stain your clothes (£4.99 for home bargains or B&M),” one wrote.
“Also, I find that if I don’t put any sunscreen on, I get prickly heat.
“The worst cream for me was the soltan boots.”
“Wash with Dettol soap in the morning and use p20 sunscreen, best thing you haven’t suffered since,” added another.
While a third wrote: “Aloe Vera gel also works wonders.”
