1. Rihanna files a trademark for Fenty Hair

Looks like Rihanna is expanding its Fenty beauty brand into the hair category. Last week, the singer-turned-entrepreneur filed a trademark for “Fenty Hair,” according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The line could include items such as clips, barrettes, scrunchies, wigs, curlers, “elastic bands for tying the hair”, “decorative articles for the hair”, hairbrushes, hair extensions and combs, among many others.
The trademark was registered under Rihanna’s company, Roraj Trade LLC, with Scott J. Slavik as an attorney of record. Currently, no other details regarding Fenty Hair have been revealed. A hairline for Fenty would mark Rihanna’s latest venture for her wildly popular and successful Fenty brand. This empire currently includes Fenty Beauty, the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, and Fenty Skin.
2. Tems credited as songwriter on Beyonce’s upcoming album
Tems and P2J are credited as songwriters on the song “Move” from Beyoncé’s upcoming album “Renaissance.”

Nigerian superstar singer and songwriter Time was revealed as one of the songwriters on by Beyoncé next album Renaissance. A Beyoncé tracklist Renaissance the album was released to social media on Thursday July 20 and Tems was credited as one of the songwriters for track 10 “Move” under his full name Témilade Openiyi.
2022 has been an amazing year so far for the Nigerian singer who reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 after her voice charted on The future “Waiting for you.” Additionally, the international superstar made history at the 2022 BET Awards when she became the first African female artist to win a BET award when she won the Best International Act award. Her addition to Beyonce’s album, which will be released on July 29, is just another addition to her growing list of accolades.

Close friends and family of the dancer and hip hop star Tumi Tladi gathered at Walter Sisulu Hall and Center in Randburg on Wednesday to say their final goodbyes. Tumi died on Sunday, July 10, with details of the cause of death still unreleased. The star was 30 years old.
Video footage showing the highlights of Tumi’s life was shared during the ceremony, as he was remembered for his positive spirit and humble nature. Tumi’s godfather, musician Sipho “Hotstix” Mabusegraced the stage with a performance and talked about the first time he held Tumi when he was born and the time they shared throughout his life, and the influence he had on his music.
4. Facebook criticized for ‘gaging’ a Kenyan whistleblower

Dozens of rights groups and activists signed a letter calling on Facebook to “drop all attempts to silence whistleblower Daniel Motaung.” They accuse the tech giant of trying to “crush its efforts to improve the working conditions of Facebook moderators in Kenya and around the world”. Mr Motaung says he was paid around $2.20 (£1.80) an hour by Sama, one of Facebook’s contractors, to review the posts, including beheadings and abuse children. He is suing both companies in a Kenyan court.
In response, Sama and Facebook sought a gagging order against Mr Motaung, saying he could damage the outcome of the case by speaking to the media. Facebook and its parent company Meta have not responded to the letter – which was signed by Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, author Shoshana Zuboffand the African Center for Freedom of Information, among others.
5. Lingard confirms free transfer to Nottingham Forest after Man Utd exit

jesse lingard agreed to join Nottingham Forest on a free transfer. The England international left Manchester United in the summer after his contract expired. He shared a video on social media confirming his switch to Forest. The 29-year-old was linked with a return to West Ham, where he thrived on loan during the second half of the 2020-21 season, as well as in MLS. But he has instead opted to join the newly promoted Forest as he looks to capitalize on the increased playing time.
The club confirmed the attacking midfielder’s arrival on their official website, saying: “Nottingham Forest are delighted to confirm the signing of Jesse Lingard.” Lingard announced his move with a video shared on Twitter with the caption: “Ready for my new chapter. Let’s go babyyyyyy.
