TES Productions Helps GUTS Church Integrate MAXHUB LED Wall Displays – rAVe [PUBS]

Founded by Pastor Bill Scheer in 1992, GUTS Church is a contemporary Christian church that maintains a “Come As You Are” approach designed to appeal to those who are put off by the formality of many more traditional worship environments. As part of a facility upgrade to increase the overall efficiency of their main worship sanctuary, the church recently purchased two MAXHUB LM220A07 220 inch diagonal integrated LED wall screens.

Tulsa, OK-based TES Productions, which in addition to being a live event production company, also operates a design/build audio-visual integration business that serves commercial, educational, religious and other markets in the northeast Oklahoma and beyond has been hired to deploy the new MAXHUB displays at GUTS Church. Alex Forrest, who is a sales engineer for the A/V integration group at TES Productions, has been an integral part of the GUTS Church project from initial sale through installation. He discussed the work and reasons for deploying the MAXHUB equipment.

“GUTS Church’s main auditorium has approximately 1,000 seats built in an old warehouse with concrete floors and an exposed ceiling structure,” Forrest explained. “They use a 60ft wide video wall behind their stage for graphics and lyrics while image magnification from the church’s 4-camera video system and other video content is pushed to the MAXHUB screens. positioned on the left and right sides of the stage – bordering the outer edges of the stage. We deployed the two MAXHUB screens in early March and they went live immediately.”

With a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, the 220-inch-diagonal MAXHUB LM220A07 delivers stunning HD visuals. Featuring built-in video processing, support for PBP (Picture By Picture) functionality, as well as PIP (Picture In Picture) capability, the LM220A07 delivers crystal-clear images that can truly engage the congregation, and it can be configured with minimal setup time.

Asked about the MAXHUB LM220A07 attributes that made them a perfect fit for the GUTS Church project, Forrest commented, “The low-profile cabinets on these displays provide a clean aesthetic that allows them to blend seamlessly into the overall sanctuary atmosphere. …And with their rich feature set, they eliminate the need to have to fiddle with a Novastar processor to get everything working. The overall combination of functionality and connectivity, as well as being very competitively priced, has them made extremely well suited to this installation.”

Forrest was also complimentary of MAXHUB’s customer and technical support services. “Sam Malik, MAXHUB’s Senior Sales and Marketing Manager for the Americas, maintained regular contact with us throughout the sales and installation process, so we felt the project really mattered to the company. Equally notable, video engineer Jason Seas was very business savvy, handling the technical aspects of the project. Jason was involved throughout the process and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible.”

With the new MAXHUB screens now operational, Zach Blake, Technical Director of GUTS Church, shared these thoughts regarding his experience with the new equipment: “We needed a long-term solution for our side wall screens in our sanctuary. major. The projectors we had just weren’t up to snuff, so we had the two MAXHUB LM220A07 walls installed to remedy the situation. Now that they’re up and running, I’ve been blown away by the clarity, definition, and overall aesthetic these walls provide. They make the services much more attractive. Everyone was very impressed.
