The Narcotics Control Bureau opposed Aryan Khan’s bail request saying he can falsify evidence because he comes from an influential family.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and the seven other people arrested during the cruise’s rave party were not released on bail on Friday, as the Metropolitan Magistrates’ Court characterized the requests as release on bail from “non-maintainable”. However, the reason for the dismissal of the bail application on Friday was technical, as Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, counsel for the BCN, said a magistrate lacked jurisdiction to hear those requests. ASG has also said it does not oppose bail, although it may appear to be the case.

So what’s next for Aryan Khan and the others?

Aryan Khan will have to spend the weekend in jail and Friday will be his first night at Arthur Road Prison as those arrested spent Thursday evening in NCB custody for Covid testing.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer will have to file a request for interim release in a special court.

For the next few days, Aryan Khan and the other people arrested in the case will be kept in a quarantine cell under the Covid protocol.

Reports say that there have been no special requests from Aryan Khan’s family regarding his time in prison. Aryan Khan will be accommodated in Barracks Number 1, which is the prison quarantine cell.

Why Aryan Khan and others have been denied bail so far

This is the third time that Aryan Khan’s bail application has been rejected. After being arrested on Sunday after the BCN raided the rave night of the cruise, his lawyer accepted a one-day custody by the BCN for investigative reasons. A day later, the custody of the BCN was extended until October 7.

The BCN has requested an extension of police custody until October 11 for further investigation. The court sent them all to 14 days in police custody.

BCN on Thursday opposed their request for bail, saying the agency needed their custody as they would face new arrests made by the agency. The NCB said on Friday that Aryan Khan could be a regular drug user, as his WhatsApp chats revealed “bulk amounts.” If he is released on bail, he can falsify evidence because he comes from an influential family.
